Focused - Privacy Policy

Focused is a personal daily goal and habit tracking app. Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

Account Information

• Name and email address, provided when you sign in with Apple or Google.

Health & Fitness Data You Enter

• Sleep times (wake-up and bedtime)
• Water intake
• Meals (name, calories, protein)
• Cardio sessions (activity, duration, distance)
• Workouts (exercises, sets, reps, weight)
• Reading progress
• Custom goals and progress

Apple HealthKit Data

• Step count and active calories burned (read-only). The app does not write data to HealthKit.
• HealthKit data is never shared with third parties, used for advertising, or transferred off your device for purposes other than displaying it to you within the app.

Device Information

• A push notification token is stored to deliver reminder notifications you configure.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide the app's functionality:

• Display your daily progress on the dashboard
• Track habits and goals over time
• Send reminder notifications you opt into

We do not use your data for analytics, advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering the app experience to you.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), associated with your authenticated account. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest on Firebase servers. No data is stored on-device beyond temporary caches.

4. Third-Party Services

• Firebase Authentication & Firestore (Google) — for sign-in and data storage
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — for push notifications
• Sign in with Apple (Apple) — for authentication
• Google Sign-In (Google) — for authentication

No data is shared with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third parties.

5. Analytics & Advertising

Focused does not include any analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking SDKs. No usage data is collected or transmitted beyond what is necessary for the features described above.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the app under Settings. Upon deletion, all data stored in Firebase will be permanently removed. You may also contact us at the email below to request deletion.

7. Children's Privacy

Focused is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
